These days I think of a lot of things to write – throughout the day. But the time I sit in front of the laptop – I usually waste all the time looking for cars, visiting random newssites, writing mails etc. Whenever it comes to updating the site, do some constructive writing, even only for myself, I fail to do it. Oh well…
I am here in Seattle for three weeks now. I am currently doing an internship at Amazon.com. I will be here till mid-September, before I go back to San Diego. My life has seen several changes over the past few months. Sometimes it feels like I am starting a whole new episode of my life once again. Sometime it hurts, sometime all I want is to go back and hang on to the last bits and pieces that is left and try to fit all the scattered pieces in place like a big jigsaw puzzle. Then as the final image gradually begins to appear, the state of my life as it was a few months ago, it reminds me of all the painful moments which forced me to make a few strong decisions which changed it all.
Hmm … I just read the paragraph that I just wrote – and to me it sounds like the beginning of a cheesy suspense thriller where the protagonist says something about his past live before moving into action. Anyway, I won’t change it. I will post this as it is.
I changed my blog’s heading. It is not view of the world from a lazy mind anymore. It is more related to my life and my world as I see it. I am quite lonely here. And in general, even though I have a lot of acquaintances, I never known many people who actually care about me. But I do have all this pensive moments and thoughts which I do not want to lose. The fact that I am not a great talker, in addition to the fact that I hardly have anybody to talk to, makes it really difficult for me to communicate verbally with people. So I figured that I am going to write. The new blog title ‘My Life – My Thoughts – My Words’, seems a little naïve, but I am going to live with that for now.
I should plan to do regular updates on my blog 
I really suck at this.
So? what else is happening with me now?
I am here in the US for more than a year now, and I hardly have visited any place here. The farthest I have gone from San Diego is Las Vegas – which is like only 300 mile from here. And as of now, I even haven’t been to places near San Diego – I have never been to San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, Disneyland, Legoland, or Universal Studios in LA. This realization is depressing, and it is time that I do something about this.
So, here is a quick game plan. I don’t know how much of it is actually going to be implemented though. I have a plan of spending one week in NY this spring break with my childhood buddy Prasenjit. Maybe few other people will also be there and I am hoping I will have a good time there. I should mention here that I somehow have a wild awe inspiring fascination about New York – and that is making me look forward to the trip more than anything else. This may sound weird to the people who were born and brought in metropolitan cities, but I used to have the same feelings about Calcutta when I was a little boy. I don’t remember how old I was when I fist went to Calcutta with my father – but I do remember the impression that the city had left on my childhood mind. We used to live in a small town named Sainthia back then and we hardly had any building more than maybe 4-5 storeys tall. And even now, I think the tallest building in Sainthia is the building of the Telecom department (BSNL now). [It’s been many many years since I visited Sainthia - so my information is definitely not authentic]. Speaking of Sainthina – Jewel-di, Bubai-di, Acharya-kakima – I know that there is less than one-in-a-billion chance that you are going to read this sometime, but I still cannot think of Sainthia without thinking about you people.
Okay, so I digressed quite a lot. After spending the spring break in NY I will be back in SD for yet another tiring quarter. Then comes the summer – in which I plan to do an internship this year.I will do something after the spring quarter but before joining the internship – but that is something that I haven’t decided yet. Lets see..
