[1] Installed Service Pack II for Windows Xp. The installation went smooth. No problem so far. The only thing that bothers me is that as startup my system uses 210MB of memory ( not a problem, since I have 768MB of RAM installed … heh, showing off ). BEfore installing the service pack it used to hover around 160MB. Other than that, the nifty popup blocker with IE works beautifully. It passed the critical test when it blocked the popup (or, pop-under) windows of Times of India site those were previously un-blockable using the Google popup blocker. (Firefox works great though). Contrary to some reports in the net accusing SP2 of not intgrating well with third party firewalls, in my system SP2 Security Center recognized the ZoneAlarm firewall that I use, and I am yet to come across any compatibility issues.
[2] Moved my homepage and the blog to my server in my lab – RedHook.
[3] Uninstalled Doom 3 and cleaned up the hard drive a bit, freeing some space.
