What can I say? I, being an avid Computer Games enthusiast, absolutely detested the game Resident Evil, and never could play it for more than 5 minutes, and still I watched this *obvious* sequel to a movie which everybody in my social and friend circle have rejected with just one word: “pathetic”.

Well, I liked the first movie. (If it is still not clear to you, I have a strange taste in movies, I admit). It was exsessively gory and gut wrenching at times, but overall I liked it. And that was the primary reason behind my watching the sequel. (The secondary being the trailers with some nice action sequences with scantily clad Milla Jovovich.)

But this movie, to me, was kind of disappointing. It was gory, sickening, (as expected).. and I did not like it. ( and even after trying hard, i cannot remember why I liked the first one). There were just too many zombies, story was weaker than expcted and I will think twice before wasting my time on the third sequel.. (the ending of this one clears the pathway for another sequel).

It reminds me of the Alien series - painfully elongated over a bunch of sequels.

Yet another bad movie. Very Very bad movie. Too many casts, too many loosely wound plotlines, slow, unnecessarily gory, not a bit entertaining, forcefully inserted sleazy song+dange sequence…. and I feel bad that I wasted over two hours on this movie on this beautiful saturday afternoon. Even sleeping would have been more worthwhile….

Neha Dhupia (the Julie girl) cannot act. Period. But other than that I have no complaints over acting though. Sanjay Dutt is good. Bipasa Basu is not bad either. But the main drawback of this movie is the uneven sluggish pace and introduction of unnecessary subplots, twists. Yana Gupta appears for one dance sequence (which had no connection with the movie whatsoever), and one 5 word dialog … and that coreography was the promotional number for the movie. The only thing that impresses me in this movie is the acting of Sunil Shetty. Dino Morea did a good job of acting also.

Final thought, it could have been a real good movie had it been a litle more clean. I know 95% of Indians will not agree with me on my comments of the appearance of Abhishek, Yena just for one song (why the hell is there so many dance sequence anyway? Why don’t they make video albums.. why on movies?)… but this is my personal view. (Don’t question me if I dislike them that much, why do I see it… well, I have my own time to kill :D )

Now I am going to write the gentoo guide that I am thinking of writing for the past few weeks…

Yesterday I watched this movie. Nothing much to write a review on. I was watching it with Sagnik as usual. He kept commenting about the similarities with “Anger Management“, which I have not seen; Hence I am taking his word for it. The whole movie was a bunch of brainless pointless comic scenes. But watchable. Did I ever mentioned that we usually fast forward through all the song/dance sequence to save some time. But in my humble opinion, in spite of all the effort by Kader Khan, Akshay and Salman - the real jokers were Kapil and Harbhajan :-D…(no offence meant to the millions of Indian Cricket Fanatics)

Asambhav - watched it today with Sagnik. Watchable, but definitely crappy and old storyline and full of acion cliches. But I don’t think there exists any movie (or, very few maybe) which one will not find ‘watchable’ after tolerating Julie. But for this movie, the credit mostly goes to the cast. Unlike Julie, some of the actors here actually acted, specially Naseeruddin Shah. Arjun Rampal is definitely one of the good loooking actors in India these days. Oh well…..

Oh.. I played a lot of Star Wars today… my second toon become a Master Bounty Hunter today :) for those who don’t know what I am talking about, go to here. :)
