On a cold, rainy day, we hiked up to this waterfall in Oregon. This is not a very big waterfall by any means. But the rain, the mist , and the damp atmosphere around made this litte 2mi RT hike an amazin adventure.

I was going to Shimla with my family in Dec 2008, after my brother graduated from IMA. On the way, before we reached Shimla, we could see the city lit up on the hills. As usual, I stopped the car, went to the side of the road, put the camera on the side of the road as I didn't have the tripod with me, and took a few shots.

We went to Salton Sea, CA this weekend. Salton Sea is one of those few places in US where millions of birds stop to replenish themselves while they migrate. After chasing after the birds across difference locations for a few hours, and getting countless worthless photos of birds in the distance, I finally found this Great Egret sitting close. But as I tried to get closer, it flew away. I managed to get a couple of shots thought before it flew further. I need to practice my skills in stalking birds.

As we were waiting for sunset at the top of the Steptoe butte, we had a series of dramatic skies go by. They didn't last till sunset, but it was gorgeous while they were there.

... as the title says. We waited for a few hours on top of Steptoe Butte, waiting for the sunset. We were hoping to get some more dramatic clouds to compensate for the snowy palouse fields below. But just before sunset, almost all the clouds went away.
